Orestes and Pylades getting ready for a race

When prince Orestes arrived from his hometown Mycene to the kingdom of Phocis, King Strophius, the father of prince Pylades, instructed a ceremonial race to be held between their royal guest, prince Pylades and all the noble young men in the kingdom. The king's slaves were ordered to take care of all the necessary preparations, such as summoning the contestants and preparing the athletes for the event.

As soon as the sun has risen, Orestes and his cousin Pylades meet near the race track, where their slaves immediately start to help the two royal athletes into their sandals, specially made for this occasion. Like in all sportive disciplines favored by the nobility, athletes will compete naked, in order for the audience to admire and enjoy the view of their beautiful young muscular bodies in all their glory. Because of the sharp stones on the track, it has been agreed that the athletes would wear sandals.

There is another accessory the athletes have to wear according to the traditional custom. This is the so-called "kynodesme", a leather penis cord or string, tied around their "akroposthion" or tip of the extended foreskin, bounding up their manhood tightly to a waistband. The purpose of this habit is to prevent their glans from becoming visible. Showing a bare penis head is considered highly indecent, and associated exclusively with slaves (like the ones assisting their young masters in this image), Barbarians or wild creatures such as satyrs, constantly showing erections in public. It is also understood that this practice is aimed to prevent men spilling their semen randomly.

While Pylades' smooth penis is fasten up by one of the private court slaves, Orestes is taken care of by his personal Nubian slave. The Nubian knows that the heavy manhood of his master needs a specially strong cord to tie and hold his foreskin together. While moving about, such as wrestling or running, Orestes' large manhood could easily demonstrate a will of its own, the glans popping out freely, even producing precum at various occasions and spilling it over fellow competitors, especially during a wrestling match. Because of his size, it also has happened once during a race held in honor of his thirteenth birthday, that Orestes' heavy manhood knocked down another boy in the contest. The Nubian uses a leather belt instead of a waistband to fix Orestes' manhood effectively. After the race one of the slaves will remove Orestes' sweat from his body with a large gold "strigilis", adapted to the size of the prince's giant muscles.

Watching his blond cousin looking up to his giant stature, Orestes smiles towards him in a competitive mood. He would like to have his friend win the race, although the polite custom is to have the guest win a ceremonial competition like this. Pylades in turn is convinced of Orestes' undisputed predominance in the race, looking forward to give him the prize, which in his mind could only be his virginity.
