Shrunken boyfriend (V)

The Polynesian holidays from which Lawrie and Chuck had brought those fatal mushroom pickles, had been the celebration of their third year together. They had begun dating when Lawrie was 22 years old, and Chuck was just 18, and soon discovered that they were born for each other. Already at that time, Chuck seemed older -particularly, because of his stunningly masculine look, which contrasted with Lawrie's childish face. Before the shrinking episode, Chuck worked as a trainer in a downtown gym, but he didn't make much money. Lawrie, on the other hand, did not need to work, as he lived from the revenues of his late father's considerable fortune. It was him, in fact, who covered such expenses as the couple's holidays.
